During the 2nd World War, in 1940, Mr. António Agostinho Marques imported to Portugal the necessary equipment and technology to produce sparkling wines under the then-new technique called "Charmât Method".

This technique allows the production of sparkling wines of excellent quality more quickly and economically.

Using this new technology and seeking to serve consumers with individual doses that didn’t existed at the time, the new sparkling wine MAGOS was launched and was an instant commercial success with its 0.20 l bottles.

Forty-three years after the brands creation, the evolution of the sparkling wine market led to the launch of the new MAGOS Frisante extra-sparkling wine, an easy wine to drink, and in line with changing consumer trends.
